These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, mobile application and services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Teelpay Technologies Limited ("Teelpay", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use the Platform. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Teelpay provides digital payment services including, but not limited to, airtime and bundle purchases, utility bill payments, escrow-style trust transactions (LockPesa), and flexible installment payment plans (Lipa Pole Pole / Paygo).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
Certain services on the Platform may attract a fee, which will be clearly displayed before you confirm a transaction. Fees may change from time to time; continued use of the Platform after a fee change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.
Where a buyer and seller agree to a Lipa Pole Pole installment plan, Teelpay holds deposits and installments securely until the schedule is completed. Delivery or service completion is confirmed by the buyer before funds are released to the seller. Failure to complete scheduled payments may result in cancellation of the plan and forfeiture of amounts already paid, in accordance with the specific plan terms agreed at the time of purchase.
Where a dispute arises between a buyer and seller regarding a transaction, Teelpay will review the evidence provided by both parties and make a determination in line with its dispute resolution process. Our decision on such disputes is final unless otherwise required by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teelpay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
