Our goal is to resolve issues quickly and fairly. If a problem arises, funds remain locked until a resolution is reached.
Either Buyer or Seller reports an issue (e.g., item not received, item not as described) via the Lockpesa dashboard.
Both parties are given a period (e.g., 48 hours) to submit all relevant evidence, tracking numbers, and communication logs.
The Lockpesa Resolution Team reviews all evidence and attempts to mediate a mutual agreement between the parties.
If mediation fails, a final, binding decision is made. Funds are either **refunded to the Buyer** or **released to the Seller**.

If the seller fails to deliver, or the item is not as described, the buyer can raise a dispute. Our dedicated resolution team will investigate, and if the claim is valid, the full transaction amount will be **refunded to the buyer**. See our Dispute Flowchart above for details.
Payment is instantly released to the seller as soon as the buyer enters release code sent to their registered phone number. Funds are credited to the seller's account automatically and Lockpesa deems the transfer is valid and complete.
We accept M-Pesa. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted gateways.
You can deposit money to your Lockpesa wallet through STK push and paybill option. STK push is available from your Lockpesa account. For paybill option, the paybill for Lockpesa is 4201707 and enter your Lockpesa account number to fund your wallet.
Lockpesa does not charge you for making deposits. Note that M-PESA charges applies for deposits. Lockpesa has free transfers for local payments like M-PESA and banks. Note that you can only make deposit of KES 200,000 each time. The minimum deposit is KES 10 to your Lockpesa wallet and minimum of KES 100 for transfers to M-PESA.
Lockpesa asks for personal details like full name, phone number, and email. For verification and to ensure security of our users, Lockpesa will ask for government issued ID and selfie for individual account, business permit for business and certificate of incorporation for companies.
